We Took Sound to the Water — Live on TVNZ Breakfast

I still can't quite believe I get to say this — we were live on TVNZ Breakfast this week, floating on the water, sharing the magic of sound with the whole country.

I still can't quite believe I get to say this — we were live on TVNZ Breakfast this week, floating on the water, sharing the magic of sound with the whole country.

If you'd told me a while ago that I'd be sitting on the water at 8am, gong in hand, introducing Aotearoa to a Floating Sound Journey before their morning coffee, I'm not sure I would have believed you. But there we were.

There's something I find hard to put into words about this particular experience. When you're floating — fully held by the water, wrapped up warm — and the sound begins to move through you, something softens. The body finally understands it's safe to let go. It's not just something you hear; it's something you feel in every cell.

To be able to share that on live television, and to watch someone experience it for the first time on camera, was such a gift.

What moved me most, though, was seeing how many of you have been drawn to these floating journeys. They keep selling out — and I think that says something about where we all are right now. So many of us are craving a moment to stop, to breathe, to come back to ourselves. I feel deeply grateful to hold that space.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me. 🤍

If you've been wanting to experience it for yourself, our Floating Sound Journey — The Water Remembers — returns throughout the season.

Unlocking Success: Jenine Kerr

ChristchurchNZ features Jenine and the story behind Nine Healing Arts — from a nomadic yoga studio in Berlin to a holistic wellness practice in Ōtautahi.

ChristchurchNZ — the city's official economic development agency — featured Jenine and the story behind Nine Healing Arts in their business spotlight series.

The piece follows her journey of rebuilding from the ground up after 15 years away from Christchurch: from founding a nomadic yoga studio in Berlin, to returning home, to shaping Nine Healing Arts into the holistic wellness practice it is today — offering Thai Yoga Massage, Sound Healing, and Gong Baths designed to help people recalibrate their nervous systems.

It's an honest look at the realities of building a purpose-led business, the value of mentorship and accountability, and what it takes to create something that truly serves your community.

"Many people are under immense pressure, constantly in go-mode... Holistic practices, like regular massage or sound healing, offer a way to step back and recharge."
